Great device. Still some cons.
The X Cube II is a great device but still has some cons. But let me address the benefits first.
Pros:
160 watt device (180 watts with firmware upgrade)
Better Temp control than the iPV 4/4s
Adjustable TCR
Unique design and LED flashiness
Giant fire button is great. The tactile sensation of squeezing your mod to get is enjoyable.
Comprehensive and intuitive interface. Clock and date function are a nice added bonus.
Device is advanced and caters to setting tweakers.
Cons:
Silver finish scratches very easily and is a finger print magnet.
The battery door on mine does not sit flush with the rest of the device.
The only TC activated on mine was for nickel. You still have to pay to activate Titanium and SS TCR through the Smart BEC app.
The Smart BEC app is kinda janky for Android. On some android phones I have heard it works perfectly. On mine it doesn't (LG Nexus 5). I am unable to create an account with Smok, which means I am unable to purchase and unlock the Titanium and SS TCR.
If you don't lock the device you can get accidental activation if the side of the device leans against or bumps a surface.
All in all this is a great device for the price. I would take this over an iPV4 every time. I have been using this for my daily driver for the past 3 weeks now. I wouldn't recommend this for a brand new r as it does have a bit of a learning curve to really get the most out of this device. If you are looking to upgrade and are on a budget I would definitely recommend this PV.
